Aida is an opera in four acts with music of Giuseppe Verdi and libreto of Antonio Ghislanzoni, composed for the inauguration of the Suez Channel but released after the 24 of December of 1871 in the Opera house of Cairo. In this opera, Verdi approached the sort of the Grand Opéra, creating a spectacular work, of great scenic unfolding (great choirs and special scenes, effects, etc.). It is one of the most popular operas of the Italian composer.
