Daydream festival

Daydream is a brand new one-day festival celebrating the best in independent rock and pop. But the line-up´s not just obscure new artists - they´ve managed to sign Radiohead as their headliners. Which is a pretty impressive since its the only gig they´ll be playing in Spain this whole year. Not a bad start! There´s high demand for this one, so get your tickets now. It´s being held at the Parc del Forum, right on the beach, so expect an incredible atmosphere.

Radiohead (headliners) - If you don´t know them, it´s about time you did. They´re an English alternative rock band from Oxford, led by the legendary Thom Yorke. They´ve released 7 albums, all carrying their signature sound but mixing a range of different styles such as jazz, electronic, trip-hop and progressive rock. It´s been said that this festival has basically been put together by them, considering Thom Yorke is an avid fan of all the artists playing alongside him at Daydream. I think we can trust his judgement.

Other artists are:

Bat for Lashes - created by British singer/ songwriter, multi- instrumentalist and visual artist Natasha Khan. Natasha is a creative, mesmerizing and versatile performer, whose timeless, powerful music is hard to define by today´s genres. Her haunting ethereal vocals float above vivid, ambient sounds.

Four Tet - ambient electronic project from Kieran Hebden who collaborates with different producers, taking influence from a wide range of music, from hip-hop to folk.

M83 - 80s sounds and punk-funk riffs from Anthony Gonzalez

Clinic - Fast-paced eclectic indie rock group from Liverpool. Signature sound comes from use of vintage keyboards and organs, and Ade Blackburn´s powerful acidic vocals.

Liars- 3-piece American band whose sound is described as post-punk, experimental rock.

Low - American indie rock band whose music is described as ´slow-core´, meaning a mix of minimalistic style and slow tempos, but don´t be put off: their stiking vocal harmonies give them their distinctive sound.

Modeselektor - electronic/hip hop band from Berlin, and one of Thom Yorke´s favourite bands.

ENEMC presents "Off Computer" - stands for Ensemble Nacional de Espana de Musica Contemporaneia. They´ll be performing their own interpretations of Radioheads "OK Computer" album. and Johnny Greenwood´s hits.

Christoph De Babalon - Berlin based breakbeat/ambient producer/DJ. Radiohead´s Thom Yorke is also a big fan of this guy.

Christian Vogel - electroacoustic producer/DJ known for his experimental sets, based in Barcelona.

Cuchillo - Spanish psychedelic folk-rock band

Faust - alternative industrial band who were the pioneers of radically experimental electronic rock back in the 70s.
