Argan is very ill, or that’s what he says. Nobody knows what is wrong with him, though he never stops complaining and the farmacy runs out of medicines to help him.
When Mr Argan discovers a Circus of Imaginary Invalids staying in his livingroom: a disastrous ringmaster, Arlecchino, an out-of-tune singer Julietta, and a swordless swordsman Cyrano. Thanks to all of them Mr Argan will learn a lesson, that he is a dreamer and there is no clue for an imaginary invalid. Only at the bounds of his fantasy, he will find the solution.
