Festival de la Porta Ferrada in Barcelona

The Porta Ferrada Festival is Catalonia´s oldest festival. It´s name comes from the monastery where it was first held in 1958. It´s situated in one of the most beautiful areas on the Costa Brava coast, Sant Feliu de Guixols, 35km from Girona and 110km from Barcelona. The line-up features a broad spectrum of artists, from chamber music to jazz groups, performing to a large, mixed crowd. It´s predominantly a performing arts festival, showcasing a mix of theatre, dance and music performances by prestigious artists.
