Balthazar Restaurant in Barcelona

Whenever I have someone to visit, I´ll take them to Balthazar, knowing it´ll never fail to impress. It´s one of the best of an excellent restaurant chain here in Barcelona, known for its popular Quinze Nits. They serve a fusion of Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine with a hint of the Orient, in a striking and stylish interior quite unlike any other - there´s a lot of black, but its theatrical lighting and oriental flower prints make it elegant and inviting. They offer a varied selection of small but rich dishes with exquisite presentation, and all for extremely good value. There are two sittings on the weekends, one at 21h and the other at 23h. The English menu is slightly hard to decipher(!) and service can be rushed at times, but the service is friendly enough, and never inefficient. Reserve a table in advance as it gets booked up very quickly.
