Els Barrils Restaurant in Barcelona
Fresh fish, seafood and meat in the windows. The atmosphere at Els Barrils is that of a bistro inside a market. Rustic decoration and lots of Spanish ham, jamon serano, hanging over the bar. Traditional local food served in hugh portions. As a starter try, grilled asparagus, or the ensaladilla rusa, or if the season allows it, calcots, grilled spring onions. As a second course, this is a place for meat lovers, entrecots, beefs etc. are good suggestions, often served with a cheese or pepper sauce. The tail of the monkfish is also delisious. In general Els Barrils is a bit expensive, but since the portions are so big, the price is reasonable.
