Restaurant Via Veneto offers Catalan gastronomy at its best, with excellent service, fine food and an extensive wine list. The interior is rather out-dated, but comfortable and elegant. Try to make a visit in early autumn and game season to try their famous caza (game), rovellons and ceps (mushrooms), such as hare stuffed with foie on a bed of baked apples. From the summer menu, try red mullet with juicy saffron rice and orange blossoms, roasted monkfish with romesco and seasonal vegetables or Via Veneto´s most famous dish, roasted duck a la presse - succulent baby duck in its own juice. Finish with an exquisite dessert, like the white chocolate souffle with yoghurt cream, cherry granita and bergamot icecream.
